Este fin de año Cumbia Connection construyó historias musicales, Patricia es parte de ellas, el EP de cinco canciones nos trae de una escena a otra encadenando una especie película musical de fin de año que homenajea en sus arreglos musicales a las legendarias cumbias y chichas latinas.
Patricia (la canción) llegó directamente a instalarse en las posadas hace unos dias, apareciendo cuando los dj la sacan a bailar en las fiestas, y es cuando sabes que no hay manera de contenerse.
A esta Patricia a la que le dieron vida Andreas Unge y Thomas de Paula Eby, le sigue este sencillo; una historia musical cruzada por pasiones mortales.
Ahora el dueto sueco, de corazón caliente, nos cuenta la historia de un hombre que vivía en una campiña fuera de la ciudad, de nombre Edison Rodríguez. Edison también tenía una novia llamada Esmeralda y ella era la mujer más hermosa de todo el pueblo. Un día Esmeralda llegó a la casa de Edison y lo encontró con otra mujer. Esmeralda corrió a su casa a buscar el revólver. La gente del pueblo vio pasar a Esmeralda y regresar a la casa de Edison…después de un rato, todo el pueblo escuchó el disparo. Nadie volvió a ver a Edison Rodríguez más. Y este es el final de esta triste historia.
Ah! Pero Esmeralda en medio de esta cumbia narrativa, donde los metales y los teclados nos van punteando la historia y el arreglo casi nos lleva a la guaracha, ella huyó a casa de su amiga Patricia a quien la historia contó:La historia de Edison Rodríguez.
Así este sencillo, el penúltimo que nos presentan del segundo EP que Cumbia Connection nos ha compartido este año, del cual hemos bailado : Jugadorcito, No puedo más Laura, Patricia y esta pasional historia.
